As most of you know, I live in the Texas Collegiate League territory. The TCL is a growing league. They (the league) still do not promote it very much, and I have quite a few complaints about the league in general. But, it’s still a great way for my family to spend a summer evening.
I want to focus on a few former TCL players and see what they are up to now.
German Duran was a great player for Weatherford College. The Fort Worth native played for the Coppell Copperhead in 04/05. He was drafted by the Rangers in the sixth round on the 05 draft. Currently he is playing for the Frisco Roughriders. He is hitting .231 with a homer.
Logan Ondrusek played his college ball at Mclennan Community College. He was also a member of the 2005 Graham Roughnecks. Logan was drafted by the Reds in the 13th round of the 2005 MLB draft. Currently, Logan is pitching for the Sarasota Reds. He’s pitched 4.2 innings and has yet to allow a run.
