Kevin Nolan of Winthrop

Posted by collegesummerball on April 11, 2007

As many of you know, my other hobby is collecting autographs with my son. We acquire many of our autographs by writing a nice letter to the athlete and send it to him care/of his team or school. You can check out our other site at 316 Sports. If the athlete is still in college or doesn’t have any professional sports cards yet, we usually make homemade sports cards using our photoshop skills. We also will include a set of questions for the players to answer if they like. The answers are often very intriguing and funny.

A few weeks ago, we sent a couple homemade cards to Kevin Nolan of Winthrop. Kevin is one of the best freshman in college baseball. The infielder from New Hampshire is currently batting .304. He has 41 hits and 20 RBI’s.

Kevin will be playing his 07 summer ball for the Lowell All-Americans of the NECBL.

You can view the questionnaire here.

Posted by collegesummerball on April 11, 2007

Josh Simmons (Wheaton College, MA) is off to a good start of the Division III Lyons of Wheaton College. The junior has made 12 appearances with a 3.85 ERA. Perhaps his most impressive stat is that he has held opposing batters to a .188 batting average. Josh will be playing his summer ball for the Saratoga Phillies of the NYCBL.
