Small School Stars Will Shine For Wichita Falls!

Posted by collegesummerball on April 17, 2007

The Wichita Falls Roughnecks are going to have a loaded team this year. They will rely heavily on two players from small schools to lead them to the Texas Collegiate League Championship. Will Breslin from Belmont Abbey and Brett Holland from UT-Tyler are two players that are expected to have a big summer for the Roughnecks.Traditionally, summer ball is where players from smaller schools can show off their talents against DI players.

Will Breslin is a junior that can play first or in the outfield. He is currently batting .389 for the Crusaders. He also has 12 homers and 51 RBI’s. Most impressive is his .722 slugging percentage.

Brett Holland is a sophomore pitcher that has helped lead the Patriots to an undefeated season so far. He is currently 5-0 with a 3.50 ERA.

The Roughnecks open their season on June 5th against Duncanville.
