It would probably be safe to assume that not many people outside of Pennsylvania have ever heard of DeSales University. The Division III school sits in the scenic Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania. With a couple more outstanding years, freshman Doc Neiman will help to bring more attention to the DeSales Bulldogs baseball team.
For fans of the Bulldogs, Neiman is a very important name. Tim Neiman has been the head coach for 18 years now. The bulldogs have 423 wins while he has been at the helm. Nolan Neiman is Tim’s son. He is currently an assistant coach for the bulldogs. Nolan was a standout player for the bulldogs. He has many ties to summer collegiate leagues. Nolan had coaching stints with the New Market Rebels of the Valley League and with the Lehigh Valley Katz of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League
Doc Neiman is a freshman catcher for the Bulldogs. As a freshman, he is seeing very valuable playing time. He has seen action in 28 of the Bulldogs 30 games. He is currently hitting .398 with 1 homer and 18 Runs Batted in. Doc will be playing his summer ball for the Leesburg Lightning of the Florida Collegiate League.

The Davidson Copperheads of the Southern Collegiate Baseball League have been selected to play the Chinese National Team on July 30. This is quite an honor. I am sure that the Copperheads will play their hearts out. The game is tentatively going to be played at Davidson Stadium, but might be subject to change.
I want to be the first to congratulate the Copperheads and their head coach, Derek Shoe on being selected to play in this exhibition.

Dallas Braden pitched for Hornell of the NYCBL in 03. He made his MLB debut with the A’s on Tuesday afternoon. He pitched 6 solid innings, while only giving up 3 hits. I had the pleasure of meeting Dallas when he pitched for the Midland Rockhounds. He was very nice to my son and I. He took the time to sign a couple of autographs for us. We are very happy for Dallas Braden.
You can view a nice article about Braden’s debut on the blog “New York Collegiate Baseball Blog.”

For fans of the Ole Miss Rebels, the last name Henry is an important one. A Henry is just about at the top of every key offensive stat for the Rebels this season. Brothers Jordan and Justin are two very important reasons why Ole Miss is ranked #18 in the country.
I am going to focus on Jordan for this write up. Jordan is a freshman outfielder from Vicksburg. He has played in every game this season. He is batting .372 with 1 homer and 12 RBI’s. He has also not committed and error this season.
Jordan will be playing his summer ball for the Delaware Cows of the Great Lakes League.

I have been trying to access the College Baseball Foundation website for a couple of days now. Apparently John of “All Things Valley League” was trying to do the same. John has a nice write up on the situation down in Lubbock.
Read it here.
