We congratulate Hunter, and hope that he is the 2nd of many more former TCL players to make it to The Show.

Continuing with the theme of my last post, here are two more prospects to watch for in the Big Ten.

Evan Crawford is an outstanding freshman for the Indiana Hoosiers. Evan is an infielder from Reynoldsburg, OH. He is currently hitting .312 and has driven in 23 runs this season. Evan is set to play his 2007 summer ball for the Delaware Cows of the Great Lakes League.

Matt Jansen is a very talented pitcher for the Purdue Boilermakers. The freshman from Crown Point, IN was a star on the football field and baseball field for his high school. He is pitching like a star for the Boilermakers this season. Matt is 0-2, but don’t let his record fool you. He sporting a 2.62 ERA, and has limited his held opponents to a .209 batting average. Matt is set to pitch for the Watertown Wizards of the New York Collegiate Baseball League this summer.

Catching Up With A Few Big 10 Prospects! Part 1

Posted by collegesummerball on April 30, 2007

Most of my family lives up in “Big Ten” country, so I have a special place in my heart for the schools in the Big Ten. I am not the expert on Big Ten baseball like Brian from Big Ten Hardball is, but I think that I can spot a prospect out. Here are two players from Big Ten schools that should play key roles this summer for their respective summer teams.

Kevin Hoef is an infielder for the Iowa Hawkeyes. The sophomore hails from Troy, IL. On the season Kevin is batting .275 with 15 RBI’s. He also has 10 stolen bases on the year. Kevin will be playing his 2007 summer ball for the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod League.

Kevin Cislo is an infielder for the Michigan Wolverines. He is a sophomore from Novi, MI. Kevin is .374/.451/.444 on the year. He has driven in 17 Wolverine runners this season. Kevin will be playing his summer ball for the Grand Lake Mariners of the Great Lakes League.

Bullfrogs Pitcher is a Prospect to Watch For!

Posted by collegesummerball on April 30, 2007

The Green Bay Bullfrogs of The Northwoods League are hoping that their first season will be a very successful one. There is a reliever from Oregon State that is going to try and see that the Bullfrogs hopes will be fulfilled.

Mark Grbavac is a sophomore pitcher from Portland. He comes with plenty of experience out of the bullpen. On the season he is 0-1 with a 2.45 ERA. He has made 18 appearances and has 3 saves this year.

Green Bay opens their season on May 31.
